My husband has just been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Are there any alternative meds that may help?

October 31st, 2008 by admin

He is 46 and it came on suddenly. He really suffers with it. The doc put him on Enbrol?? It's a weekly injection. We are waiting for it to be shipped to us so he can begin. I can't help but wonder if there are other options? There is another med he can't take because he has FLD.Anyone have alternative remedies that may help?

Here are some ideas, all of which together will alleviate the pain and discomfort:

–on a daily basis, take one tablespoon of an omega-rich
oil like flax or cod liver. It is anti-inflammatory.

–on a daily basis, take at least a quarter teaspoon of
cinnamon. It contains chemicals that are also
anti-inflammatory.

–on a daily basis, do some lite exercise, like gardening
housecleaning, working on the car, shopping . . .
Keeping your body in a constant state of movement will
really fight off the progressive nature of rheumatism,
and will also alleviate current symptoms.

–if you and your husband can work your way up to it, then
go to a yoga class. In this case, it is the best way to
fight/alleviate the symptoms.

–green tea or yerba mate tea. These, when fresh brewed,
contain complex chemicals that ward off the damage due
to rheumatism, and slow the progression of future damage.
Drink them on a daily basis.

–Chondroiton and glucosamine. These have not been proven
effective in people who do not suffer from rheumatism,
but they have been shown to have mild therapeutic effects
in people who have advanced rheumatoid arthritis.

You must do these things on a daily basis. Give it a few weeks and you will feel a change.

Best of luck to both of you, and I hope you post a follow up question, just to let us know how both of you are doing.

Is there anyone who has found a way of curing or treating their rheumatoid arthritis without drugs ? Thank yo

October 31st, 2008 by admin

I currently take natural products like mangosteen juice and shilajit to help with the inflammation, as well as extra vitamins and fish oils etc, but I would like to get the bottom of the disease if possible.

Bee Royal Jelly has been used for years to successfully treat arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. My mother's hand were deformed and the pain was horrific after taking royal jelly for 60 days she began to feel better and better she has now been taking it for 5 years and her fingers are actually straightening out its a miracle truly. I get it for her at www.beeroyalproducts.com
I wish you well I know how painful it is.

Do certain illegal drugs cause early Rheumatoid Arthritis, or any type of bone deterioration more than others?

October 31st, 2008 by admin

I know all illegal drugs are bad, but are certain ones known to cause Rheumatoid Arthritis, or any type of bone deterioration, over others? I have used a few in the past, and now at 22, I am suffering from an advanced case of bone damage in my hands. I have also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Please help with real facts, Rather than just “Drugs are bad”. I will be picking the best answer. Thanks!

It doesn't sound drug related. Caffeine and any number of other things will leech calcium from your bones, but it shouldn't hit you at 22. It sounds like repeated exposure to hydrofluoric acid more than anything else. I'm not aware of any drugs that are suspected to cause rheumatoid arthritis.

Realistically, the only way for any illegal drugs to damage you like this is if they make you neglect your health. But if you want more insight, it would help if you list the drugs you've taken and any other problems associated with them.
